Teen Gothic

I just found out how many people think goth isn't political and that you can be a conservative goth and it's driving me insane

You know that kinda semi low fi, not too heavy it'll annoy the cashier, or customers parents type music

But dark enough to be spoopy enough

Anyone else got any other band examples of Goth Shop Music? XD

What's that track that you would never think to hit skip on when it comes up? The one that you know you'll still enjoy listening to in 20 years' time?

As someone who isn't able to get out to experience the club scene, works on an ambulance to support a family of four, and is too isolated to go to bigger cities this has been my "local scene" since I joined the sub. Most of the people I've talked to has been friendly and welcoming (it wouldn't be a proper scene without a few oddballs.) I've found some of my new favorite albums from you guys and I couldn't be more thankful for it.

Especially with songs like Gutter Glitter/Wicked/Waiting Room. Their music has this eerie dream-like quality to it the more I listen to them. There also seems to be themes of hell/purgatory and dreams which are my absolute favorite.

I remember I had a really intense nightmare so, I put on my favorite songs playlist to calm me down and one of their songs, I think it was Gutter Glitter?, and it genuinely freaked me out more, which has never happened before. They’re one of my all time favorite bands and I love this about them.

I know a lot of goth music is spooooky but they just feel different to me. The only other songs I can think of are a couple of Diva Destruction songs.

Does anyone else feel this way? Also are there any other bands/songs like this?
